Community Workforce Solutions is seeking a High School Pre-Employment Transition Instructor to work with students with disabilities in the Topsail area and surrounding communities in Pender and Onslow counties. As part of our Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) program, you'll lead instruction that helps students explore career opportunities and develop workplace skills while preparing for greater independence after high school.

As part of our Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) program, you'll lead instruction that helps students explore career opportunities and develop workplace skills while preparing for greater independence after high school.
What You'll Do
- Plan and deliver engaging classroom instruction
- Teach career readiness and practical life skills
- Adapt lessons to meet individual student needs
- Lead individual and small-group activities
- Develop lesson materials and hands-on activities
- Track student progress and maintain program documentation
- Collaborate with facilitators and school staff
- Travel between assigned school sites in Pender and Onslow counties
- Report to the Onslow County office 2–3 times per week
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Rehabilitation, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
- Experience teaching or working with students with disabilities
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to adapt instruction for different learning needs
- Valid North Carolina driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to travel between school sites and the Onslow County office
- Ability to complete a background check and drug screening
- Ability to lift 10-25 pounds
- Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout the day
