At CWS, our mission is driving successful outcomes, removing barriers, and helping individuals reach their potential through innovative programming, transformative opportunities, and impactful education and training.

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Operations Manager to lead the daily operations of the Gateway Clubhouse. In this key leadership role, you will ensure high-quality, recovery-oriented programming that aligns with Clubhouse International standards while supporting our members' goals for independence, employment, and community integration. You will work closely with the Director of Brain Injury Services, staff, and members to maintain a welcoming, productive, and safe environment.

We are a mission- and member-driven community where operational excellence makes a difference in people's lives. As a Brain Injury Clubhouse, our mission is to provide a supportive and collaborative environment where individuals living with brain injuries can rebuild their independence, gain meaningful skills, and reclaim their place in the community.

In this role, your work goes far beyond spreadsheets and workflows. By ensuring that our daily operations run seamlessly and are forward-moving, you create the stable, empowering space that our members rely on to thrive. You will be a part of a compassionate and collaborative team that celebrates every milestone, values innovative thinking, and works together to make a tangible impact every day. If you seek a leadership role where your organizational skills meet a profound, life-changing purpose, you'll find it here.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with members to plan, coordinate, and facilitate meaningful work tasks, activities, and social events that promote skill-building, cognitive recovery, and social connection.
  • Supervise, train, and support Clubhouse staff and volunteers; provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback.
  • Ensure compliance with Clubhouse Model standards, organizational policies, funding requirements, and safety regulations.
  • Manage program schedules, facility maintenance, inventory, and administrative systems to support efficient operations.
  • Track program outcomes, maintain accurate records, and contribute to grant reporting and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with community organizations, employers, healthcare providers, and referral sources.
  • Support vocational and transitional services, including supported employment and community outings.
  • Handle member intake processes, goal planning, and crisis response as needed in coordination with clinical or support staff.
  • Contribute to strategic planning, budgeting, and continuous program development.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Rehabilitation, Social Work, Psychology, Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in program operations, preferably in a Clubhouse Model, brain injury rehabilitation, mental health, or disability services setting.
  • Proven leadership and staff supervision experience with a collaborative, trauma-informed, and strengths-based approach.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with grant-funded programs, outcome measurement, and regulatory compliance is a plus.
  • Passion for working with adults with brain injuries and a commitment to dignity, empowerment, and inclusion.
